About The Position

Discovery Isle Preschool is seeking a Preschool Substitute Teacher to support classroom instruction and routines for multiple age groups (Infant–School Age). The role involves encouraging independence and collaboration through hands-on, play-based learning. Responsibilities include assisting with instructional activities, supervision, meal/snack times, and transitions, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom setting. The substitute teacher will collaborate with teaching teams, follow established lesson plans and schedules, and build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Professionalism, flexibility, and a willingness to assist where needed are key attributes for this position.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Awarded High School Diploma or GED
• Completed 12 Core ECE Units including 3 Infant/Toddler ECE Units
• Awarded Child Development Associate (CDA) in Infant, Toddler, or Preschool
• Minimum of 6 months prior teaching experience in a licensed childcare program
• Ability to adapt to different age groups, teaching styles, and classroom needs
• Strong communication, reliability, and a warm, caring presence
• Authorization to work in the United States
