About The Position

The Preschool Sports Instructor is responsible for leading and instructing preschool age children in engaging and safe recreational sports and activities.

Requirements

• 16 years of age or older
• Ability to instruct physical and sports-related activities with an emphasis on safety
• Knowledge of a variety of age-appropriate sports and games
• Energetic with a genuine interest, patience and enthusiasm while working with youth
• Bending, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
• Reaching above head
• Ability to project voice across gym
• Standing for varying periods of time

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with and/or instructing preschool age children preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists the Preschool Sports Coordinator in leading and instructing recreational sports and activities for preschool kids.
• Creates a safe, enjoyable and positive class experience.
• Conducts classes that are structured and educational, keeping participants active and safe.
• Demonstrates athletic skills with an emphasis on sportsmanship, fundamentals and safety.
• Sets up, breakdowns, organizes and maintains equipment; informs staff of needed supplies or repairs.
• Greets parents, builds rapport with class members, and responds to questions and concerns.
• Maintains constant supervision of participants and responds to emergency situations.
• Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.
