About The Position

The Preschool Resource Teacher supports high-quality early learning experiences for preschool-aged children. The role implements developmentally appropriate programming, maintains a safe and nurturing classroom environment, and supports instructional excellence across assigned classrooms. The teacher upholds ChildCareGroup standards, Head Start Performance Standards, NAEYC criteria, and applicable licensing regulations while collaborating with teachers, families, and center leadership. The position requires strong classroom management, flexibility, and a passion for early childhood development.

Requirements

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate’s Degree in child development or a related field.
• One year of experience working with young children.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and a strong desire to work with preschool-aged children.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and volunteers.
• Reliable, punctual attendance and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, including setting up daily activities and supporting learning centers.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with RC3, including curriculum preparation, child assessments, and documentation.
• Support children’s growth across developmental domains and ensure progress of at least 15% on the E-LAP.
• Build positive relationships with children and families through ongoing communication, participation in conferences, and home visits conducted according to Performance Standards.
• Collaborate with classroom teams and assume responsibility for daily programming when the Lead Teacher is absent.
