About The Position

Magical Beginnings is seeking a creative, positive, engaging team player for their Preschool wing. This exciting, high-energy role focuses on the development and education of preschool-age children from 3 to 6 years of age. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a desire to work hard with like-minded educators in a fun environment.

Requirements

EEC Teacher Preschool Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience
Daycare experience in a center-based, private, or public school setting
An energetic approach to learning and a positive attitude
Curiosity, creativity, and a strong team-focused mindset
Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
Attentiveness, strong time management, and strong collaboration skills

Responsibilities

Collaborating with co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
Keeping parents informed via the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
Encouraging children’s participation through age-appropriate interactive activities.
Maintaining classroom cleanliness, including routine opening/closing tasks, wiping down toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, and trash removal.
Engaging with students in free play, supervising outdoor time, assisting with bathroom needs and diapering, snack and meal assistance, and naptime assistance.
Adhering to the school's structured schedules.
Tracking children’s progress and completing assessments.
Maintaining EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
Attending monthly staff meetings.
Creating a fun and safe learning environment for students.
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
