About The Position
As a Part Time Preschool Mandarin Teacher at Stratford School, you will work as part of a team to develop a plan of instruction appropriate for the elementary students in our afterschool immersion program. The emphasis will be on vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This person must be professionally prepared to teach Mandarin to young children.
Requirements
- Twelve post-secondary semester or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education or related field at an accredited college or university
- Six months or more experience working in a childcare center or program
- Must be fluent in both Mandarin and English language
- Must be able to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- A Bachelor’s degree in Early Child Development or related field is preferred
Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and implement curriculum for the campus afterschool program
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff members
- Provide administrative support
- Monitor and assess student progress
- Maintain an ordered and arranged classroom environment
