About The Position

Kingsley Montessori School is seeking a Floating Teacher to support students and faculty in our Early Childhood program. This individual will join a team of committed educators and gain hands-on experience working in a school setting. The Floating Teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers to support instruction, transitions, and routines for students ages 3–6. The candidate must possess a genuine interest in early childhood education and an eagerness to learn from experienced faculty. The Floating Teacher will assist faculty with organizing classroom materials, facilitating on-campus learning, overseeing indoor and outdoor play, supporting transitions, and covering lunch duties. Additionally, the Floating Teacher will contribute to creating a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment. This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Early Childhood Education. Requirements

• College Degree required.
• Ability to work closely with students, peers, coworkers, and mentors effectively.
• Genuine interest in early childhood education.
• Eagerness to learn from experienced faculty.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• The School is unable to provide employment visa sponsorship for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with young children are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize the safety, wellbeing and supervision of a group of students.
• Participate in and support special events/activities.
• Participate in training initiatives and Faculty Professional Development Days.
• Support classroom routines and behavioral expectations set by administrators and lead teachers.
• Maintain professional communication with others and exhibit a receptive and open demeanor.
• Perform arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, bathroom, and hallway monitoring, and other support duties as needed.
