About The Position

We’re looking for a passionate Preschool Floater to join our team! If you love working with young children and have experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day. Join us and help spark curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. We are looking for a candidate that can work from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Under the direction of the School Director, the preschool floater plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the school. Responsibilities include covering teacher breaks and lunch periods, assisting in classrooms as needed, maintaining a clean and organized environment, preparing classroom materials, and providing support to teachers and children throughout the day. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, energetic, and enjoys working with children of all ages while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and well-organized learning environment.

Requirements

  • 45 DCF Child Care Training Hours
  • Must meet minimum experience and education requirements for the state of employment.
  • Must meet all state licensing qualifications for the state of Florida to work in a child care center.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings.
  • Passion for working with young children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexible, dependable, and willing to assist wherever needed
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing classroom needs
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Basic understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to follow licensing regulations, school policies, and health and safety procedures
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, kneel, and actively engage with children throughout the day

  • Previous experience in an early childhood or group care setting is preferred.
