About The Position

Teacher’s Aide – Head Start / Early Head Start

Start or grow your early childhood career while helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. UCCA is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms.
You will support daily activities, child supervision, classroom organization, and family engagement as part of a collaborative education team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred
• Experience working with young children preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision
• Support children’s developmental and educational needs
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities
• Support family engagement and communication
