About The Position

The Preschool Chef is responsible for preparing all meals in the onsite warming kitchen. This role involves working closely with school leaders and classroom teachers to ensure consistent daily mealtime schedules and routines. The chef will also establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents, and communicate effectively with parents and teachers regarding any ongoing dietary needs of their children/students. Regular attendance is an essential requirement for this position to provide consistency for children and parents.

Requirements

• Meet and exceed all state Child Care Licensing requirements
• Previous experience in a childcare meal service (warming kitchen experience encouraged, but not critical)
• Possess a teamwork mindset, strong communication skills, organization skills and problem-solving ability
• Ability to build rapport with children, families and peers
• Positive and patient demeanor
