About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced, credentialed leader to join our team as a Preschool Center Director.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of center leadership and management experience.
  • Hold the Texas CDA credential or equivalent statewide ECE certification, plus any applicable state specific Administrative or Director credential, required.
  • Hold current CPR and First Aid certification, required.
  • Hold a current Texas Certified Food Protection Manager certification, required.
  • Demonstrate strong, verifiable knowledge of Texas licensing rules and regulations.
  • Provide a documented, verifiable compliance history through HHSC Child Care Regulation licensing records showing no substantiated violations. Verification of licensing history will be part of the candidate screening process.

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, displaying passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees.
  • Create an environment of trust, rapport, and inclusivity, easily connecting with diverse groups of people.
  • Ensure the physical center environment adheres to health and safety standard operating procedures, maintaining full compliance with Texas HHSC Child Care Regulation Minimum Standards and all applicable local and state licensing requirements.
  • Build and maintain a highly qualified staff by actively sourcing, training, coaching, and engaging with current and prospective employees.
  • Oversee staff scheduling to ensure ratio compliance is maintained at all times.
  • Oversee medication administration, allergy management, and incident reporting protocols to ensure full compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Oversee food safety and nutrition compliance in accordance with Texas Certified Food Protection Manager standards.
  • Maintain and oversee execution of the center's emergency preparedness and evacuation plan.
  • Confirm all staff maintain required background clearances and certifications, in coordination with the organization's HR partner.
  • Maintain ongoing licensing renewal and inspection readiness to ensure the center is prepared for scheduled and unscheduled HHSC visits at all times.
  • Guide teachers in implementing our proprietary curriculum. Take advantage of our engaging characters to drive the curriculum, creating a fun and enriching learning experience at TLE.
  • Drive consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, generate monthly P and L reports, and oversee employee payroll.
  • Engage prospective families through in person and virtual center tours.
  • Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.
