About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time preschool assistant teacher (8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.), as well as part-time teachers (12:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m.). Our Staff Family is truly unique including staff that originally attended The Whole Child Learning Center as children and those that have been with us for 20 years. We have formed relationships in the community that have helped us build an incredible family atmosphere. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Minimum of 2 years working in childcare (required)
Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in childcare, or babysitting is highly desirable.
Certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing engaging lesson plan activities from our curriculum that promote growth and development in accordance with PA standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
Provide care for preschoolers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
Assist in preparing any necessary learning materials.
Foster a positive environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment.
