Requirements

Must meet New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) requirements for employment in a child care program
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience working with young children in a licensed child care center, preschool, or early learning environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Genuine passion for working with children

Nice To Haves

Child Development Associate (CDA)
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

Assisting with the implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities
Supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
Building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
Supervising children to ensure a safe and engaging learning environment
Encouraging independence through hands-on learning and play
Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Assisting with meals, transitions, outdoor play, and daily routines
Following all OCFS regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
Collaborating with teachers and center leadership to provide exceptional care
