About The Position
The Lion of Judah Early Learning Centers in Windsor Mill, MD is looking for a warm, energetic, and passionate Part-Time Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years. If you love working with children and thrive in a nurturing, faith-based environment, we'd love to meet you! Shifts Available: Monday-Friday 7am -1pm Monday-Friday 2-6pm Mon- Wed- Fri 9-6pm
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children
- Genuine passion for child development and early learning
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare compliance requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and a collaborative team player
Nice To Haves
- Coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for preschool-aged children
- Support a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and transitions
- Help implement early childhood curriculum aligned with developmental milestones
- Communicate positively and professionally with parents and guardians
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and preparation of learning materials
- Observe and report on children's behavior, progress, and needs to the lead teacher
