About The Position

A Preschool Aide supports the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, supervising children, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and encouraging children's social, emotional, and educational development.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in working with children.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and actively participate in classroom and playground activities.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) may be required.
Successful completion of required background checks.

Nice To Haves

Coursework in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
Experience working with young children is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher with planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities.
Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest time.
Help children develop social, emotional, and communication skills through positive guidance.
Prepare and organize classroom materials and learning centers.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment.
Assist children with personal care needs, including handwashing, toileting, and dressing, as needed.
Observe children's behavior and report concerns or progress to the lead teacher.
Support classroom routines, transitions, and behavior management.
Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and administrators.
Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
