About The Position
Curiosity Academy is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team! We are currently hiring a dedicated teacher for the Young Toddler Classroom (1-Year-Old Classroom). At Curiosity Academy, we believe every child has a natural curiosity and desire to explore the world around them. We’re looking for a teacher who shares these values and has a true passion for guiding toddlers during their earliest stages of learning and development. We are seeking a nurturing, energetic teacher who is passionate about early childhood development and committed to helping young children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that supports children's cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development. You will work collaboratively with fellow teachers, staff, and families to ensure each child receives individualized care and support during these important early years.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, required.
- Previous experience in Early Childhood Education (2+ years preferred)
- Ability to obtain required clearances: Background Check, FBI Fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearances, and Mandated Reporter Training
Nice To Haves
- CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create and facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Support children's daily routines, including free play, guided activities, diapering/toileting, snacks/meals, and rest time
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom
- Encourage social-emotional development, independence, problem-solving, and positive peer interactions
- Observe, assess, and document developmental progress and milestones
- Maintain open, professional communication with families regarding children's growth and experiences
- Collaborate with leadership to create a consistent, high-quality learning environment
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Assist in other classrooms and school activities as needed
