About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Prepress Technician to join our commercial printing operation. If you have a strong background in commercial print production, enjoy solving technical challenges, and take pride in producing high-quality work, we'd like to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing customer files for offset and digital printing, proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and a strong understanding of commercial printing workflows.

Requirements

Three or more years of experience in a commercial printing prepress environment preferred.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Pro
Strong understanding of: Offset and digital printing, CMYK and spot color printing, PDF/X standards, Color management, Typography, Bleeds, trim, and page layout
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Fujifilm XMF Workflow
Experience with Metrix Imposition Software
Experience with Enfocus PitStop Pro
Experience with Commercial sheetfed offset printing

Responsibilities

Preflight and prepare customer artwork for print production.
Verify files for proper page size, bleeds, trim, image resolution, fonts, color spaces, and print specifications.
Correct and optimize files to meet production requirements.
Create press-ready PDF files.
Create impositions for commercial printing jobs.
Process jobs through Fujifilm XMF Workflow.
Produce digital proofs for customer approval.
Work closely with customer service, sales, and pressroom personnel to ensure accurate job production.
Troubleshoot file and production issues to maintain quality and production schedules.
Maintain organized electronic job files and documentation.
Consistently meet production deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
