About The Position

Phoenix Color is seeking a QC Proofer for their night shift operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all outgoing proofs match customer requests, adhering to safety and quality control standards, and contributing to production goals. The position requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret various instructions and layouts, and strong attention to detail. The QC Proofer will also be involved in cross-training and promoting safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements

High levels of mechanical aptitude.
Must have general knowledge of manufacturing operations.
Ability to stand and walk for 10-12 hour shift.
Ability to occasionally carry and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend and reach for extended periods of time.
Ability and initiative to learn.
High levels of attention to detail.
Organizational and leadership skills.
Knowledge of department’s safety standards.
Ability to meet department quality standards.
Ability to work as a team and individually.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2 Years of previous printing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure all outgoing proofs match customers’ requests while following all safety and quality control standards.
Ensures that production goals are met.
Ability to read and understand written instructions.
Ability to read a ruler metric and standard.
Position may require some mathematical calculations.
Ability to read and understand technical press layouts, set up instructions and production instructions.
Must be able to pass color differentiation test and maintain that capability.
Cross training in other roles.
Adheres to and promotes all safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
