About The Position

Prepare pump units to be painted, re-assemble units, assist painting units, and prepare pump units for shipment. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Basic math skills.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring devices.
• Must be able to read and understand Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc. Employee Handbook.

Nice To Haves

• Trade school graduate preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from Supervisors and Painters.
• Wash, sand and prep frames.
• Clean frames, prep engines and units for painting.
• Apply protective coverings, such as masking tape to areas that could be damaged or stained by work processes.
• After unit is painted, remove tape and paper, reassemble units, touch up paint and high lite areas of importance with contrasting paint.
• Reinstall all components (after touchup) which were removed, apply the appropriate labels, decals and nameplates in a straight and proper order.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area.
