About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Prep Cook to prepare soups, sauces, vegetables, roast meats, and cook-to-order items in accordance with established specifications and standardized recipes. The role involves inspecting equipment, spices, and food products to ensure quality standards are met, monitoring inventory levels and ordering stock, and ensuring proper product rotation, storage, and quantity controls. The Prep Cook will consistently apply established safety and sanitation procedures, maintain cleanliness of the work station and storage areas, and monitor food production quality while supervising the job performance of other kitchen staff.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a prep cook.
• Must have a working knowledge and experience in most cooking styles, techniques, and recipes in assigned food outlet.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
• Other physical requirements of the position include but are not necessarily limited to reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and twisting at the waist.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
