About The Position

Maple & Ash Miami is seeking a Prep Cook to join their team. The role involves preparing food for service, rotating items in storage, following recipes for bulk prep, and adhering to chefs' instructions. The position requires compliance with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations, as well as maintaining professionalism and a willingness to assist teammates. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Must hold a Food Handlers certificate from an ANSI-accredited program
• 1+ years of experience as a prep cook, preferably in a high-intensity, high-volume kitchen
• Excellent knife skills
• Must be able to multitask and maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Flexible hours are required (days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Must possess a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time
• Ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for service
• Rotate items in walk-in/storage daily
• Follow recipes for bulk prep
• Answer, report, and follow the Chefs’ instructions
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
