About The Position
Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is looking for Prep Cooks to join our culinary team at the Kahala Market. We are seeking high-energy, creative culinary professionals who are passionate about food and delivering exceptional experiences to all guests. Prep Cooks must have knowledge of cooking techniques & procedures, kitchen equipment, and kitchen operational systems. They must be able to work and communicate well with others, work both independently and in a team, follow directions, and maintain a positive attitude. A neat, well-groomed personal appearance, adherence to company dress code, and support for company culture, values, goals, and mission are also expected. Our Cooks are essential to delivering safe, consistent, and high-quality food to our guests.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knife skills and basic cooking techniques required
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation methods, and safe food handling practices
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and standardized procedures
- TB Clearance required (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Nice To Haves
- Previous culinary experience in a high-volume food establishment, restaurant, or prepared foods operation
- Experience working as a Prep Cook or similar role
- Familiarity with fast-paced kitchen environments and production cooking
