About The Position

Beztak Senior Living is seeking to hire a bright, dynamic leader with a passion for service and a commitment to excellence to join their family of talented individuals. The Prep Cook is responsible for the preparation of well-presented meals in a timely fashion according to the scheduled menu and/or resident requests.

Requirements

• One year of experience in the industry
• Excellent verbal and listening skills
• The ability to multi-task effectively

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of meal preparation, cooking and presentation as assigned.
• Completes prep work as required for future meals.
• Assists in the completion of the order sheets to maintain the appropriate level of supplies and inventory.
• Maintains refrigerator and freezer in an organized manner and as required by the health department.
• Assists in the storage of stock items that have been delivered.
• Maintains a clean and safe workspace and work environment. Sweeps and mops kitchen area as assigned.
• Adheres to all food handling regulations.
• Knows and uses provided Universal Precautions and Personal Protective Equipment, according to requirements established by OSHA.
• Operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties. Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.
• Working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills
