About The Position

Join our energetic team at Devonshire @ PGA National as a Prep Cook in our recently renovated, state-of-the-art kitchen! As a Prep Cook, you are the engine of our kitchen. You prepare ingredients and support the kitchen team. Duties typically include washing, chopping, measuring food, setting up workstations, assisting cooks during service, following food safety standards, working pantry and keeping prep areas clean and organized. We believe in nurturing talent internally, working together, and preparing dishes that wow our guests from the very first bite. You will work directly with our Line Cooks, Sous Chefs and Executive Chef to bring a fast-paced, high-quality menu to life. Requirements

  • The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) requires all new hires to successfully complete and pass an extensive Level 2 background screening, which covers U.S. Federal, State and City checks (submitting fingerprints), prior to the start of employment.   • Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.
  • Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, from hot kitchens to cold refrigerators and freezers
  • specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable. These regulations take precedence over the requirements outlined in the job description.

  • Previous Prep-Cook working experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the consistent preparation all food items according to proper safety and cooking techniques
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen and work station
  • Use your culinary talents to prepare and assemble high quality menu items that drive resident satisfaction
