About The Position

Carleton Dining Services is hiring full-time Prep Cooks to join their team at Loeb on Carleton University campus. As a Prep Cook, you will prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods, potentially in front of customers, requiring strong customer service skills. This role involves assisting the Sous Chef and Cooks with daily menu preparation, cooking on the line, grilling, using ovens, preparing food stations, assembling cooked products, serving food with exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and sanitized work area, assisting with culinary auditing and food safety measures, and ensuring adherence to Aramark Policies and Procedures. Other job duties may be required.

Requirements

• Food service experience required
• Knowledge of food, sanitization, and health and safety standards
• Enjoy working with others in a team setting
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must complete and successfully pass a Criminal Background Check

Responsibilities

• Assist Sous Chef and Cooks with preparation of daily menu
• Cook on the line, grill, and use ovens
• Prepare stations with food
• Assembly of cooked products
• Serve food while providing exceptional customer service
• Maintain continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
• Assist with culinary auditing, and food safety measures
• Ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures
• May perform other job duties as required
