About The Position
Wild Eggs is looking for Prep Cooks to enhance their team. They offer a great work/life balance and a great culture, with no nights and competitive pay. The primary responsibilities include supporting line cooks by completing preliminary food preparation tasks and maintaining kitchen organization.
Requirements
- Previous prep cook experience
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Basic math skills for recipe conversion
- Physical ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Responsibilities
- Execute daily prep lists efficiently and accurately, including washing, peeling, cutting and portioning ingredients according to specifications
- Prepare basic components of dishes. Measuring accurately, following recipes precisely and maintain proper storage procedures for all prepared items
- Maintain proper food storage, monitoring temperatures, dating items and ensuring first in first out (FIFO) protocols are followed
- Assist with kitchen cleaning duties, sanitizing prep areas, and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas. This involves following detailed schedules and health department regulations
