About The Position
Walters Wedding Estates, a premier venue under the Walters Hospitality brand, is seeking dedicated, hardworking individuals to join their kitchen staff as Prep Cooks. The role involves preparing ingredients, assisting in the cooking process, plating and presenting food, assisting with food service during events, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, enjoys learning, and can handle constructive feedback.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of successful culinary experience
- Serve Safe Food Handlers certification
- Able to lift 30 lbs frequently
- Able to stand/walk 8-12 hours
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must submit/complete background check
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Culinary degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking process, following recipes and kitchen standards.
- Plate and present food beautifully, adhering to presentation guidelines.
- Assist with food service during events, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment, following all sanitation and safety guidelines.
