About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is looking for Prep Cooks to join our culinary team at our Kahala Mkt. location. We are seeking high-energy, creative culinary professionals who are passionate about food and delivering exceptional experiences to all guests. Prep Cooks must have knowledge of cooking techniques & procedures, kitchen equipment, and kitchen operational systems. They must have the ability to work and communicate well with others, work both independently and in a team, follow directions, and maintain a positive attitude toward the work and company. Prep Cooks must also maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observe company dress code, and support the company culture, values, goals, and mission. Our Cooks are essential to delivering safe, consistent, and high-quality food to our guests.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knife skills and basic cooking techniques required
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation methods, and safe food handling practices
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and standardized procedures
• TB Clearance required (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements

Nice To Haves

• Previous culinary experience in a high-volume food establishment, restaurant, or prepared foods operation
• Experience working as a Prep Cook or similar role
• Familiarity with fast-paced kitchen environments and production cooking

Responsibilities

• Preparing raw ingredients for use during kitchen service
• Maintaining product quality standards
• Observe and enforce company standard operating procedures
• Ensuring all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
• Assisting with utility and cooking duties as necessary
• Providing excellent customer service
