Prep Cook
About The Position
Nello's Pizzeria + Italian Kitchen is seeking a Prep Cook to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing amazing recipes from scratch, following established recipes to ensure consistent results. You will also be expected to know and comply with standard cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen practices. This includes prepping a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using various kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers. Maintaining a clean and organized workstation and adhering to all sanitation and food handling standards are crucial for this position.
Requirements
- Speaking and understanding English is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Prepare amazing recipes from scratch following our recipes to produce consistent results
- Know and comply consistently with standard cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen practices
- Prep a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
- Follow the sanitation standards, make sure your work station stays clean and organized, and follow all of the food handling standards
