About The Position

This role is more than a Prep Cook; it is the opportunity to act as a brand ambassador for bridging cultures through food. Take our patrons on a culinary adventure through education, quality customer service and making sure they have a positive experience at our restaurant! Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multicultural and diverse team
• Able to acquire a California Food Handlers, Sexual Harassment certifications (before or within 2 weeks of hiring)

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual is a plus
• Kitchen experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Be a team player, and work together with your team to foster a healthy and warm atmosphere
• Assist line cooks and the kitchen manager with a variety of preparation work; cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc…
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc…
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, appetizers etc…
• Stores away delivered goods in appropriate location
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area
• Label and store food according to restaurant standards
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Fill in for absent staff as needed
• Comply with health and safety codes
