About The Position

The Dishwasher/Prep Cook plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall efficiency of the Won’t Stop Hospitality kitchen while also supporting daily food preparation needs. Energetic, hardworking, and detail-oriented, this position ensures that all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized to company standards while assisting with a prep-heavy workload that supports kitchen operations and service execution. This role contributes directly to the guest experience by supporting a clean, safe, organized, and efficient back-of-house operation. Working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment, the Dishwasher/Prep Cook upholds the company’s radically different and radically better service philosophy through teamwork, consistency, and pride in every task. Prep experience is preferred, as this position will regularly assist with food preparation and kitchen support duties.

  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate basic understanding of food handling, sanitation, and prep procedures.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluently, in the primary language of the property location.
  • Ability to apply common sense, define problems, collect data and notify management when necessary.
  • Ability to successfully re-prioritize tasks in a moment’s notice.
  • Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the organization and flow of the dishwashing area.
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils as they arrive throughout the shift.
  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all cleaned items are properly sanitized, dried, and stored according to company and health standards.
  • Manage the safe use and handling of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Replenish clean dishes, utensils, and glassware to designated stations and service areas.
  • Perform prep-heavy kitchen support tasks including ingredient preparation, portioning, labeling, stocking, and basic recipe execution.
  • Assist with food prep including cutting, chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients according to company standards.
  • Support cooks and kitchen leadership with daily prep lists and production needs.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain a clean, dry, and safe working floor in the dish and prep areas.
  • Demonstrate a “clean as you go” mentality at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with back-of-house and front-of-house team members to support service flow.
  • Adhere to Won’t Stop Hospitality Inc. policies.
  • Practice “clean as you go” habits and complete assigned closing or side work duties.
  • Uphold all company food safety, sanitation, and labeling policies.
  • Other kitchen-related duties as assigned.
