About The Position

Behind every great service is great prep. We’re looking for a brilliant Prep Chef to join our Boston Tea Party kitchen team. Our cafés can get seriously busy, and a great service starts long before the first check hits the kitchen. As a Prep Chef, you'll help make sure our kitchen is ready for whatever the day throws at us. You'll prepare ingredients, receive and put away deliveries, keep everything organised and jump onto KP when the kitchen needs you. This is a hands-on role, and everyone gets stuck in.

Requirements

• Organised, reliable and happy with a role that keeps them moving.
• Comfortable working across prep, deliveries and KP.
• Willing to learn and develop kitchen skills.
• Takes feedback on board and wants to get better at what they do.
• Cares about doing things properly.
• Follows food safety standards, checks deliveries carefully, rotates stock and takes pride in keeping workspace clean and organised.
• Team player.
• Happy to turn their hand to all three (prep, deliveries, KP).

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food ready for service.
• Follow our recipes, portioning and preparation standards.
• Receive deliveries, checking they're correct and up to standard.
• Put deliveries away safely, quickly and in the right place.
• Rotate stock and help keep our storage areas organised.
• Follow our food safety, allergen and kitchen standards.
• Keep prep areas clean, tidy and ready to use.
• Support the chefs during busy services when needed.
• Work on KP, keeping dishes, equipment and kitchen areas clean and moving.
• Help with cleaning and all the everyday jobs that keep a brilliant kitchen running.
• Work with the wider kitchen team to make sure we're ready for the next service.
