About The Position

Richelieu Foods, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time PreMix Machine Operator I for our Beaver Dam, WI facility. This role is responsible for the accurate and safe operation of mixing equipment, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules. The operator will handle ingredient requisition, precise scaling and mixing of materials according to BOM and WIP/Formula Sheets, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and superior quality standards. The operator will also assist in training new team members and ensure all batch documentation is completed accurately.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read a WIP schedule
• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift 50lbs regularly and 75lbs occasionally
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Comfortable in a cold working environment
• Ability to work occasional Saturdays

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual skills a plus
• Food manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Request ingredients from the material handler based on the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Combine materials in the proper sequence, ensuring each ingredient is added and processed for the correct amount of time as outlined in the mixing system (WIP/Formula Sheet).
• Operate mixing equipment safely and accurately scale ingredients.
• Maintain the mixer schedule.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety, and Superior quality standards (GMPs, HACCP, FSI, SQF, etc.).
• Conduct product inspections to ensure specifications are met.
• Change machine settings as needed.
• Properly interpret all formulas and develop all WIPs, including time, temperature, weight, and exceptions to formulas.
• Ensure mixing equipment adheres to sanitation regulations.
• Keep work area, tools, and supplies organized and sanitary throughout the shift.
• Communicate effectively as part of a team.
• Complete and deliver all batch forms (Formula Sheet) to the Supply Chain Manager.
• Assist in the training of mixing area helpers and/or assistant mixers.
• Follow all GMPs and Safety Procedures as outlined by RFI.
