Preload- Part-time Hourly Associate
About The Position
Walden Local is seeking a Part-time Hourly Associate for their Preload position. This role involves working on a team-based packing line to ensure delivery vans are loaded and ready for drivers, loading and unloading freight trucks, and performing general warehouse maintenance. The position requires utilizing forklifts and pallet jacks, with training provided for those without prior experience. The company is a leading brand of sustainable, locally-raised meat, operating as a Certified B Corp with a mission to improve the meat industry through ethical and sustainable practices.
Requirements
- History of excellent work attendance
- Ability to lift and move 35 pounds
- Willingness to jump in to do whatever needs to get done
- Able to speak and basic English
- Valid driver's license and clean driving history for the past 3 years
Nice To Haves
- Pick and pack experience
- Warehouse experience
- Forklift and/or pallet jack experience
- Food or agriculture industry experience
Responsibilities
- Work on a team-based packing line
- Ensure all delivery vans are properly loaded and ready to hit the road prior to drivers arriving
- Load and unload freight trucks with products from our partners
- Complete general warehouse maintenance tasks such as compacting cardboard
- Utilize forklifts and pallet jacks to move orders around the warehouse as needed
