About The Position

Concord Academy of Petoskey is seeking a passionate and dynamic full-time Pre-K–12 Music Teacher to inspire students across all grade levels. Requirements

• Bachelors degree in music or music education.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (Music Education endorsement)
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills across multiple grade levels
• Ability to teach a variety of music styles and disciplines (vocal and/or instrumental)
• Passion for arts integration and innovative teaching practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging music instruction for students in grades Pre -K–12
• Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum, including general music, vocal, and/or instrumental instruction
• Integrate music with other subject areas and support the school’s STEAM-focused approach
• Organize performances, concerts, and school-wide musical events
• Foster creativity, confidence, and a love of music in students of all ages and skill levels
• Collaborate with staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities
• Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families
