As a Predictive Maintenance Technician, you will monitor equipment health using vibration, infrared, ultrasonic, and lubrication technologies to identify issues before failures occur. You will analyze equipment data, perform root cause analysis, recommend corrective actions, and support reliability and uptime improvements across the facility. You will work closely with maintenance, operations, and reliability professionals focused on increasing equipment performance and reducing downtime. Together, the team uses predictive maintenance tools and continuous improvement practices to improve asset reliability and plant productivity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical systems repair, industrial maintenance or equivalent is required
  • Root cause failure analysis experience and trouble-shooting skills required
  • Incumbent must have demonstrated excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, good problem solving and analytical skills required.
  • Customer orientation, teamwork skills and the ability to actively commit to, support and participate in continuous improvement activities are necessary for success in this position.

  • Self-motivated to achieve goals and require little supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in a technical related subject area (i.e. Industrial Maintenance) preferred.
  • Level 1 certification in one or more of the following technologies: Vibration Analysis, IR Thermography and Ultrasonic Testing preferred.
  • Experience with Maximo CMMS System a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes PdM routes, collects and analyses data, reports on data variances to baseline information in a predictive format to prevent equipment failure and determine maintenance actions in advance of failures.
  • Analyze machine failures for root cause and implement corrective actions and root cause training.
  • Execution of proactive maintenance strategies for equipment inspection with focus on equipment lubrication and data collection using PdM tools (Primarily Ultrasonic, Infrared and Vibration)
  • Performing periodic proactive asset strategies, such as maintenance routes, preventative maintenance, and other tasks to improve reliability and uptime
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance logs including labor hours and critical preventive maintenance findings
  • Working with the operations and maintenance teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs
  • Understand the use of predictive maintenance tools - Develop opportunities to use predictive tools by attending training and then training others in Laser Alignment - Vibration Analysis – Infrared – Ultrasonic
  • Diagnose mechanical wear, alignment, adjustment, and setup issues
  • This position involves working around moving equipment
  • Can include working in a Class I, Class II, Class III or Class IV Controlled Environment which may include the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, ear plugs, hairnet, beard cover, isolation mask, gown, hood, boots or shoe covers, face shield, insulated gloves and disposable gloves
  • Work in Arc Flash Hazard Category 0, 1, and 2 requiring F/R uniform and Arc Flash gloves
  • Overtime is worked as required.
  • Some job duties are performed on a rotating basis.
  • Due to the nature of this position, the ability to work most holidays, some weekends and plant shut down periods is required.
