About The Position

The Predictive Maintenance Analyst Senior is responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of the fossil fleet. The Predictive Maint Analyst Senior drives the plant’s Predictive Maintenance functions to ensure the plant’s maintenance strategy is effectively executed. The Predictive Maint Analyst Senior focuses on equipment performance improvement and interfaces with corporate support groups and fleet resources to improve the plant’s maintenance and reliability program. The Predictive Maint Analyst Senior applies predictive maintenance practices and principles within a Fossil fueled power plant. Predictive Maint Analyst Senior’s primary interface is with plant management, support, and production staff, other Vistra plants, and Power Optimization Center (POC).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ten years of related industrial experience including progressive responsibility (power plant maintenance or operations preferred).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the utilization of resources such as CMMS, SKF software, drawings, and instruction books.
  • Possess Level 2 certifications in PdM technologies. (vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis)
  • Possess Level 3 certification in one of the PdM technologies. (vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis).
  • Participate in maintenance and reliability networks and forums to remain current with industry practices.
  • Experience with RCA facilitation in accordance with Vistra standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of corporate Reliability and Predictive Maintenance standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Creates and/or supports new ideas to improve efficiency.
  • Ensures tasks are completed within expected time frames through proper planning and implementation.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely in written, verbal, and electronic forms.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of how assigned work activities impact operations and maintenance of other systems and units; uses this knowledge to maximize productivity and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety by utilizing HPI tools and techniques in daily functions and by active involvement in plant safety program.
  • Ensure equipment data is collected with consistency and quality in a timely manner according to the equipment maintenance strategy.
  • Ensure data is analyzed proficiently and the use of support resources is efficient.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance strategies are adequate to minimize unplanned equipment failure and maximize plant reliability.
  • Champion the plant’s predictive maintenance program within plant organizations.
  • Promote consistency and continuous improvement within the plant and across the fleet by standardizing procedures, processes, equipment, and operations practices.
  • Support capital projects by providing data and analysis for justification of projects.
  • Provide technical support for QA/QC, installation, and start-up of new equipment.
  • Participate in the outage planning process, providing input into needed equipment inspection and repair.
  • Maintain documentation to support data driven decisions related to PdM activities.
  • Build predictive maintenance strategy around existing equipment and new equipment added via the capital project system.
  • Utilize plant reporting instrumentation for monitoring and investigating equipment condition and historical trends.
  • Provide training in PdM technologies to Reliability Technicians.
  • Coordinate and direct the work of Reliability Technicians as required.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the Reliability Supervisor during his/her absence.
