About The Position

Wintermute is seeking a Prediction Markets Trader to monitor and trade prediction markets in real time across platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket. This role involves implementing strategies across various categories including sports, upDown markets, elections, and weather. The position is a greenfield project within Wintermute, offering significant freedom to build the desired system. The trader will be hands-on, improving the entire stack, and will need to wear many hats, providing coverage for key events that may fall on evenings or weekends.

Requirements

• Strong Python skills - 1-3 years of experience coding in Python (work, study, or personal projects).
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated interest in prediction markets (personal trading, following major developments, contributing to discussions, etc.).
• Have an owner mentality - focus on the ultimate result - P&L for the company and strategically growing the business and Wintermute partnerships.
• Love problem solving, and love seeing your products work; you do whatever it takes to do what’s needed (trading, coding, analysing data, collaborating).
• Determined, ambitious yet humble, willing to work hard and learn on the way.
• Like meritocracy and being judged by what you deliver.
• Like working in a collaborative environment.
• Eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and trading prediction markets in real time across Kalshi, Polymarket and other venues.
• Implementing strategies across categories such as sports, upDown markets, elections and weather.
• Improving the whole stack.
• Providing coverage for key events, for example major sports games where market activity is heightened, and can fall on evenings or weekends.
