The Preconstruction Manager leads preconstruction activities for power foundation projects across North America, from opportunity identification through project turnover. The role connects business development, estimating, procurement, engineering, operations, and construction teams to develop competitive, executable project solutions for transmission, substation, renewable energy, and other power infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include defining scope, preparing estimates and budgets, developing schedules and execution plans, planning procurement, assessing and mitigating risks, coordinating design, and reviewing constructability. The manager works with customers, design professionals, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders; supports negotiations and design-build or EPC pursuits; and helps ensure projects meet specifications, quality standards, permitting requirements, and customer expectations. The position also supports smooth turnover of awarded projects to project management and operations teams. Projects may involve transmission and substation foundations, drilled shafts, spread footings, micropiles, helical piles, ground improvement, renewable energy infrastructure, battery energy storage systems, and heavy civil foundation construction. The position is nationwide and project-based, with approximately 25–50% travel required.
