Overall responsibility for the preconstruction process from project inception through start of construction. This role involves managing the Business Unit (BU) Estimating department and its functions, including resource allocation for project estimations and managing related General & Administrative (G&A) expenses. The position requires developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, the design community, and trade partners to foster business development. Key responsibilities include overseeing the review of construction documents, managing the development and approval of lump sum bids, conducting market research, coordinating General Conditions/General Requirements estimates, and maintaining historical estimating data. The role also involves managing the Value Engineering process, collaborating with Business Development on proposals and presentations, and working with Procurement on schedules and subcontractor proposals. Additionally, the Preconstruction Manager will support Operations Leads in preparing and managing the Launch Matrix, participate in Constructability Reviews, coordinate with the Lean Manager for Pull Plans, and generate budget control and variance reports. The position may also lead or support the establishment of Target Value Design processes and perform other assigned duties.
