About The Position

Join Ulliman Schutte, a national leader in heavy civil construction specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure. We are seeking a driven and experienced Preconstruction Engineer / Estimator to join our team at our Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters. This role is crucial for building essential water infrastructure across the country. In this position, you will support a variety of water infrastructure improvements, learn project details, stay organized, assemble estimates and project plans, and contribute to the success of our construction teams. You will also partner with and maintain positive relationships with Subcontractors, Suppliers, Clients, and other project stakeholders, working collaboratively to provide optimal solutions for clients and communities. Your responsibilities will include performing takeoffs, producing estimates, providing value engineering support, and completing other related tasks. Our preconstruction professionals tackle challenging and technical responsibilities to establish accurate and competitive budgets, bids, and project plans.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Environmental) or Construction Management from an accredited university in the United States.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • 3 years of previous experience in Water Infrastructure Construction or a closely related heavy construction field.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Extensive experience with water infrastructure related construction

Responsibilities

  • Establish accurate and competitive budgets, bids and project plans.
