About The Position

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Preconstruction Director - Healthcare to lead and manage the pre-construction services for healthcare projects. This role involves providing quality pre-construction services to internal and external clients, reviewing project progress against budget, and driving complex IFOA/IPD or Design/Build healthcare projects during the preconstruction phase. The position is both internal and client-facing and includes responsibility for leading the preconstruction and estimating components of healthcare pursuits, with expertise in conceptual estimating during early project phases. The San Francisco Office specifically focuses on Healthcare projects, ranging from small make-ready projects to MOBs and new hospital towers, serving both public and private sectors.

Requirements

12+ years full time relevant industry experience
10+ years demonstrated experience with commercial construction estimating and estimating software solutions
5+ years of experience managing preconstruction for HCAI/OSHPD ground-up hospital projects
5+ years of experience creating GMP contracts
5+ years of experience in Northern California with strong relationships in the Subcontractor marketplace
Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent/applicable degree; or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the process and resources that provide quality pre-construction services for healthcare projects.
Provide pre-construction services to both internal and external clients.
Review the progress of existing projects to ensure their completion within the parameters of the established project budget.
Drive complex IFOA/IPD or Design/Build healthcare projects during the preconstruction phase.
Be both internal and client facing.
Lead the preconstruction and estimating components of healthcare pursuits.
Utilize expertise in conceptual estimating during early phases of projects.
