About The Position

Neurona Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in South San Francisco, CA, developing cell-based therapies for neurological diseases. We are seeking a Preclinical Research Associate who will contribute to ongoing programs and help build new animal models to study modulation of neural circuits and support the translational development of cellular therapeutics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 1–2 years of hands-on laboratory experience, including work with animal models OR Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline with relevant research experience
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to contribute to a team
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• High level of motivation and passion for drug discovery and development

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with neural tissue is a plus

Responsibilities

• Process tissue for histology, including microtome and cryostat sectioning, immunohistochemistry, imaging, and quantitative analysis
• Follow experimental protocols and maintain detailed, accurate records
• Work with rodent models, including handling, dosing, surgical procedures, and tissue collection
• Analyze data and communicate results clearly to the team
• Conduct independent experiments and contribute to collaborative research activities
