Make precision your signature. Own the creation, upkeep, and optimization of the tools and dies that drive production quality and efficiency. Partner closely with engineering and operations to translate prints into high-performing tooling, keep assets in peak condition, and remove bottlenecks on the line. Your impact Engineer and build tooling: design, fabricate, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to exact specifications. Run precision equipment: operate lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines to manufacture and refine components. Plan from data: interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to define requirements and machining strategy. Verify performance: inspect and test tools/dies to confirm quality, capability, and safety. Reduce downtime: troubleshoot and repair tooling and related equipment quickly and effectively. Preserve capability: perform routine maintenance and make precise adjustments to sustain optimal performance. Collaborate for results: work with engineering and production to resolve issues and boost throughput. Document rigorously: maintain accurate records of specs, maintenance, and repairs. Lead with safety: follow procedures and use PPE whenever operating machinery or handling tooling. Maintain order: keep the toolroom clean and organized for safety and efficiency. Improve continuously: engage in ongoing efforts to enhance tool design and manufacturing processes. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
