We’re recruiting experienced CNC professionals for a well-established precision facility in Downers Grove that builds critical components to exacting standards. A day in the life You arrive for second shift and review the job travelers. The first assignment calls for tight tolerances, so you pull the blueprint, set tooling, and verify your program. A quick first-article inspection confirms offsets are dialed. Throughout the run, you keep a steady eye on part quality—checking dimensions with micrometers and gauges—while maintaining throughput and adhering to shop safety procedures. Before clocking out, you record production data and leave a clean, ready-to-run machine for the next batch.

Requirements

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience in a production environment
• Proficiency reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments
• Sharp attention to detail and pride in producing top-tier parts
• Ability to work 2nd shift

Nice To Haves

• Background with setups, tooling selection, and machine adjustments (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC machining centers and lathes to produce precision components
• Interpret blueprints/technical drawings and align setups accordingly
• Perform tool changes, adjust offsets, and fine-tune machine parameters
• Inspect parts using precision metrology tools to hold tight tolerances
• Meet quality, efficiency, and production goals in a structured shop environment
• Follow standardized safety and shop procedures
