About The Position

Shape Flight-Ready Components with Aegis Worldwide Direct Hire Day Shift Is this you? Can you consistently hold ±0.0005" on complex aerospace parts? Do you edit G-code on the fly and optimize offsets, tools, and feeds/speeds? Are GD&T callouts second nature when reading blueprints and CAD models? Do you thrive in an AS9100-controlled environment focused on safety and continuous improvement? Role snapshot Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills and/or lathes for high-precision aerospace manufacturing. Machine aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys to strict GD&T requirements. Follow process sheets and engineering documentation to deliver parts to spec, on time. Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and CMM. Maintain compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality protocols. Monitor tool wear and machine performance to maximize efficiency and part quality. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges. Requirements

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience in an aerospace machine shop.
  • Hands-on G-code editing and full machine setup capability.
  • Advanced blueprint reading with strong GD&T knowledge.
  • Documented success holding ±0.0005" or tighter tolerances.
  • Working familiarity with AS9100 systems.
  • Self-directed team player with strong communication.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-axis and 5-axis machining exposure.
  • Programming experience with Mastercam or comparable CAM.
  • CMM operation experience.
