About The Position

Based at Rocket Lab headquarters in Long Beach, California, the Precision Cleaning Technician cleans machined flight hardware components and assemblies and works with fluid systems and sub-assembly components for Rutherford and Archimedes rocket engines. The work supports hardware that includes 3D-printed engine components as well as parts machined from raw material or procured externally. The position requires a high level of attention to detail.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in precision cleaning in the aerospace industry.
Experience with precision cleaning, ultrasonic cleaners, degreasers, oxygen cleaning, and cleanroom methodology and practices.
Experience bagging parts and creating labels.
Experience working in a cleanroom.
Experience with ultrasonic cleaning tanks, non-volatile residue (NVR), and particle-part testing.
Work B Shift, Monday through Thursday, 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m.
Stand and walk for extended periods, including 8 or more hours on a production floor.
Perform repetitive grasping, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Operate equipment and controls requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work in a production environment with noise, moving machinery, and varying environmental conditions.
Be flexible to work extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts as operational needs require.
