About The Position

Through the direction of the Supervisor or Lead Person, this individual is responsible for properly performing the match operation required for proper assembly. This role involves working with blueprints, assembling standard and higher precision products, and utilizing various measuring devices to maintain precise sizes and tolerances. The position also includes performing other assembly duties, maintaining production records, moving materials, minimizing scrap, and ensuring a clean work area. Attendance is an essential function of the position.

Requirements

Ability to obtain relevant information from a blueprint.
Skill and judgment in selecting correct sizes (inners, outers, balls).
Ability to use various measuring devices to accurately maintain proper sizes and tolerances.
Ability to troubleshoot gaging issues with measuring equipment.
Ability to operate assembly equipment.
Ability to maintain accurate production records.
Ability to move material, products, or components.
Ability to minimize scrap and rework.
Ability to identify and report production issues.
Ability to keep work areas clean and neat.
Ability to perform simple, routine preventive maintenance of equipment.
Must be able to attend work as an essential function of the position.

Nice To Haves

Experience with higher precision products assembly in a clean room environment.
Experience with set-ups, weighted greasing, oil plating, noise testing, and vacuum bagging.
Experience diagnosing/troubleshooting and making corrections/adjustments/repairs to mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

Obtain relevant information from a blueprint.
Match and assemble standard product on a matching bench.
Use skill and judgment in selecting correct sizes (inners, outers, balls).
Perform matching and assembly of higher precision products in the clean room, including set-ups, weighted greasing, oil plating, noise testing, and vacuum bagging.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and make corrections/adjustments/repairs to mechanical equipment.
Use various measuring devices to accurately maintain proper sizes and tolerances.
Troubleshoot gaging issues with measuring equipment used on higher precision production.
Perform other assembly duties, including operating assembly equipment, greasing, capping, sealing, bagging, and packing.
Maintain accurate production records.
Move material, products, or components to and/or from other production areas.
Minimize scrap and rework.
Quickly identify issues that may prohibit production and report them to the Lead or Supervisor.
Keep all work areas clean and neat.
Perform simple, routine preventive maintenance of equipment.
Maintain attendance at work.
