About The Position

Atlantic American Precast, a division of H&K Group, Inc., is seeking an experienced Precast Quality Control Technician to run aggregate gradations and test precast concrete daily. The ideal candidate is safety conscious, self-motivated, and knowledgeable. Requirements

  • Two years of related experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • ACI Concrete Field Technician Grade 1 and PQS Certification
  • Able to read and understand general production plans
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of precast concrete, or NPCA precast training
  • Experience working with state DOT regulations & paperwork
  • Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

  • Knowledge of mix designs

Responsibilities

  • Performs all work according to OSHA, MSHA, and H&K Safety policies
  • Follow and assure compliance with quality control plans
  • Sample and test materials following standard practices and quality plans
  • Maintain test records and assure compliance with company and agency specifications
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment to standards
  • Establish and maintain lines of communication with plant operations, agency representatives, and quality control supervision
  • Work with sales team to address customer issues
  • Generate reports and communicate results and trends to the quality control team and H&K employees
  • Other duties as assigned
