About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager, the Precast Plant Engineer is responsible for daily tasks such as scheduling deliveries, casting sequence, shop drawing reviews, material expediting and routine, on-site project administration. Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply; training and day-to-day guidance are provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management, Construction Science or similar Degree.
• Current valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to work in an environment with outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• Ability to work in wet and/or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and in high and/or precarious places.
• Ability to work in a loud noise environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of daily casting schedules.
• Solicit third party trucking services for outgoing product deliveries.
• Schedule incoming material deliveries.
• Perform quality reviews of shop drawings and submittals.
• Learn and understand product specification standards.
• Ensure conformance to the Quality Control Plan and standard specifications.
• Maintain detailed job files.
• Utilize the company’s inventory and management software.
• Review and approve timecards.
• Review and reconcile weekly production reports.
• Review and approve invoices.
• Become knowledgeable with the company’s safety policies and procedures.
