As a Pre Weigh Technician, you’ll play an important role in preparing raw materials according to customer specifications, helping ensure our products are made safely, accurately, and in compliance with quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
  • Comfortable performing basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers and fractions.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Basic working knowledge of how to operate a computer or terminal.
  • Ability to safely operate a pallet jack, pallet mover, and forklift as needed.
  • Must be able to wear a tight-fitted negative pressure air-purifying respirator, which requires employees to be clean shaven with no facial hair for daily respirator use.
  • Comfortable with physical work, including sustaining strenuous activity for at least one hour.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs from floor to waist level.
  • Ability to carry containers up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements.
  • Ability to push or pull items weighing 75 to 100+ lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk on cement floors for most of the workday.
  • Possess peripheral and color vision.
  • Pass the required PFT test and physical examination.

Responsibilities

  • Weighing raw materials to specific amounts that align with customer formulas, Accupac’s Standard Operating Procedures, and FDA Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.
  • Reading, understanding, and following written instructions to obtain raw materials in the correct quantities according to customer specifications.
  • Requisitioning raw materials from the warehouse.
  • Performing standard calculations as needed.
  • Verifying the accuracy of raw material information and related documentation.
  • Communicating any variances, deviations, or nonconformance issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Following all applicable SOPs, cGMPs, customer specifications, and safety guidelines.
  • Assisting with maintaining the cleanliness of the Chem Weigh equipment and work area.
  • Creating documentation in required logbooks.
  • Conducting routine scale inspections.
  • Working closely with other departments to support accuracy and timeliness.
